American actress Blake Ellender Lively was born on August 25, 1987 in Tarzana, Los Angeles, California. She was born Blake Ellender Brown, to Ernie and Elaine Brown. At the age of 11, she appeared in a film directed by her father entitled, “Sandman”. She is best known for portraying the role of Serena van der Woodsen in an American teen drama television series, “Gossip Girl”. She played the character of Bridget Vreeland in 2005 “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and its sequel in the year 2008. Included in her other films are “Simon Says”, “The Town”, and “Green Lantern”, where she met her current husband, Ryan Reynolds.
