Britney Spears-CelebMarriages_comAmerican recording artist and entertainer Britney Jean Spears was born on December 2, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, to Lynne Irene and James Parnell Spears.  In 1999, she rose to fame when she released her top singles Baby One More Time and Oops!…I Did It Again in the year 2000.  In 2002, she also showcased her talent in acting when she portrayed the role of Lucy Wagner in the American comedy-drama road film, “Crossroads”, alongside Anson Mount, Zoe Saldana, Taryn Manning, Kim Cattrall, and Dan Aykroyd.  She was hailed as the Best Selling Teenaged Artist of All Time and gained the title, “Princess of Pop”.  She received various awards and nominations, as well as recognitions of being the best-selling female artist during the 21st century’s first decade in the year 2009 and the eighth top-selling female artist, recognized by the Recording Industry Association of America.  Aside from releasing top-selling albums, Spears is also a philanthropist and product endorser.  In May 2012, she became a judge for the U.S. version of The X Factor’s second season.

Britney Spears was married to her childhood friend, Jason Allen Alexander on January 3, 2004. However, their marriage ended up in divorce after 55 hours due to “lacked understanding of her actions”, according to Spears.  In April of 2004, she dated Kevin Federline, who worked as her backup dancer, and the two got married on September 18, 2004.  However, due to a prenuptial agreement delay, their wedding was only legalized on October 6 of the same year.  Their relationship came to an end when Spears filed for divorce due to irreconcilable differences in November 2006, which was finalized by the court in July the following year.
