A product of The New School, it was in the year 1983 when she started to gain attention, particularly being cast on the TV series St. Elsewhere wherein she acted the role Erin Scheinfeld from 1983 to 1985.
Soon after, she became part of the TV program Robert Kennedy & His Times wherein she was seen as Young Pat. From 1988 to 2013, she had appearances on the TV series All My Children, playing the role Dixie Cooney. She also played a significant role on the TV series As the World Turns from 2002 to 2010. Also, she played the role Kelly Andrews on the TV series The Young and the Restless from 2014 to 2015.
Cady is the wife of actor and director Jon Lindstrom. They started dating in the year 2008. After being together for several years, they decided to get married.
