Candice Rene Accola is an American actress. She was born on May 13, 1987 in Houston, Texas to parents Carolyn and Kevin Accola. She started off as a singer before she became famous in television. In 2006, she was able to release her first-ever album which was called It’s Always the Innocent Ones. The said album consisted of 14 songs by which 13 of them were co-written by herself. In 2007, she started to appear on screen for minor roles including roles on films Pirate Camp, Juno, On the Doll, X’s & O’s, and TV series How I Met Your Mother. She then experienced her breakthrough in 2009 when she was cast as Caroline Forbes on the popular TV series The Vampire Diaries.
Candice has been through a number of relationships before. In 2004, she was noted to be seeing actor Tyler Hoechlin which eventually stopped in 2005. She then dated Tyler Shields from 2007 to 2008.
While working for the Vampire Diaries, Candice met co-star Steven R. Mcqueen and dated him in 2010. She soon had a hookup with Zach Roerig as well as Ryan Rottman.
