Carolyn Laurie Kane, better known as Carol Kane, is an American stage, screen, and television actress and comedian. She was born on June 18, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. A product of Cherry Lawn School and Professional Children’s School, she started her career in acting in the year 1971, playing a significant role on the motion picture Carnal Knowledge.
Her career started to escalate in the year 1975 when she was cast on Hester Street and was nominated for Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in the year 1976. In the year 1982, she was hired to play a role on Norman Loves Rose and earned a nomination for AFI Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She later on earned multiple awards and nominations when she played the role Simka Dahblitz-Gravas on the TV series Taxi.Presently, she portrays the role Lillian Kaushtupper on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
Carol is presently single. She had a relationship before, particularly with Woody Harrelson in the year 1968 but their relationship was only brief.
