She started to appear on screen as an actress in the year 1986, playing a minor role on the motion picture About Last Night… The same year, she played part on the TV program L.A. Law, also playing a minor role. It was in the year 1988 when she became more prominent, playing the character Rebecca on the TV series Knightwatch until the year 1989. All throughout her career, she also became known for being able to win multiple awards.
Catherine was once married. She was the wife of celebrity Dermot Mulroney. She started dating Dermot in the year 1987 and they got married in the year 1990. Together they have a son named Clyde. They, however, filed a divorce in the year 2007. which was finalized on December 19, 2007.
