Cloris Leachman is an American actress. Born on April 30, 1926 in Des Moines, Iowa, United States, she is famous for her appearances on big screen, small screen, and on stage. She started her career as an actress in the year 1947, playing an uncredited role on Carnegie Hall.
In the year 1955, she played the character Christina Bailey on the motion picture Kiss Me Deadly. Her career became successful in the year 1971 when she won the Academy Awards Best Supporting actress for her impressive role portrayal on The Last Picture Show. The same year, she also won the BAFTA Awards Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her role on the same film.
Cloris was married to Hollywood impresario George Englund. Their marriage lasted from 1953 to 1979. They were blessed with five children namely Dinah Englund, Morgan Englund, Bryan Englund, Adam Englund, and George Englund, Jr.. It was said that she had a relationship with Gene Hackman in the year 1973.
