Damian Watcyn Lewis, OBE is an English actor and producer. He was born on February 11, 1971 in St John’s Wood, London, United Kingdom. He started to appear on screen as an actor in the year 1993, portraying a significant role on the TV show Micky Love. In 1997, he was featured on big screen for the first time, portraying the role Patrick on the film Robinson Crusoe. His breakthrough came in 2001 when he was cast on Band of Brothers and garnered the Biarritz International Festival Award for Best Actor – Series and Serials. From 2001 to 2003, he also became prominent for his appearances on the TV series Homeland. Presently, he works as a host for the TV show Have I Got News for You.
Damian is happily married to British actress Helen McCrory. He and Helen have kids together namely Gulliver Lewis and Manon McCrory-Lewis. In July 2007, the couple became husband and wife and these days, they are residing in Tufnell Park, London, and Los Angeles.
