Debra Lynn Messing is an American actress. She was born on August 15, 1968 in Brooklyn, New York to parents Sandra and Brian Messing. Since she was younger, particularly when studying in high school, she was already seen as someone who has a passion for acting as she used to participate in their school plays and productions. In 1994, she finally got an opportunity to be famous when she was cast on the TV series NYPD Blue by which she played as Dana Abandando for about three episodes. She then appeared on various films and TV series including Ned and Stacey from 1995 to 1997, Will & Grace from 1998 to 2006, and Smash from 2012 to 2013.
Actor and screenwriter Daniel Zelman used to be Debra’s husband. They met in the year 1990 and started dating since then. On September 3, 2000, they got married and settled down in New York City. It was then on April 7, 2004 when they were blessed with a child they named Roman Walker Zelman. After 11 years of marriage, they eventually separated in the year 2011.
She then met her Smash costar Will Chase in 2012 and started dating him. Unfortunately, the two of them broke up last year, around October.
