Australian actor Eric Bana was born Eric Banadinović on August 9, 1968 in Melbourne, Australia. One with Croatian and German ancestry, he started his career as a comedian in the sketch comedy series Full Frontal before gaining critical recognition in the biographical crime film Chopper in the year 2000.
It was in the year 2001 when he gained notoriety and became well-recognized in Hollywood for his impressive portrayal on the war film Black Hawk Down . Two years later, he also starred as Hulk or Bruce Banner on the Ang Lee-directed Marvel Comics film Hulk wherein he gained extra attention. His opposite star on the said film was Jennifer Connelly. In 2004, he became more remarkable when he played the role Hector on the epic and high-grossing film Troy by which he was able to work with prominent actors Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom. Since then, he became a prominent celebrity.
