This role earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination. She became even more popular playing Lynette Scavo on “Desperate Housewives”, an ABC comedy-drama that aired from 2004 to 2012. This role earned her four awards; 3 Screen Actors Guild Awards and 1 Emmy Award.
Huffman’s role as a transgender woman in the 2005 independent film “Transamerica” earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress as well as a Golden Globe Award.
