Geena Davis, originally Virginia Elizabeth Davis, is an American actress, film producer, writer, former fashion model, and former archer. She was born on January 21, 1956 in Wareham, Massachusetts, United States. All throughout her career, she became well-known for her roles on The Fly , Beetlejuice , Thelma & Louise , A League of Their Own , The Long Kiss Goodnight , Stuart Little , and The Accidental Tourist by which she won the 1988 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
