Genesis Rodríguez Pérez is an American actress. She was born on July 29, 1987 in Miami, Florida, United States. The daughter of Carolina Pérez and José Luis Rodríguez, she started to appear on screen in the year 2004, portraying a significant role on the telenovela Prisionera. She later on became part of the TV series Dame Chocolate and played the roles Rosita Amado and Violeta Hurtadand. From 2008 to 2009, she was also highlighted on the TV series Doña Bárbara, playing the roles Marisela Barquero and Young Bárbara Guaimarán. These days, she is currently working for acting projects including the upcoming flicks Run All Night and Yoga Hosers.
During the past, Genesis was involved in an underage sex scandal with her Prisionera co-star Mauricio Islas who was then 30 years old. She was sixteen years old by that time. It was eventually settled by the court.
