George Harvey Strait is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and music producer. He was born on May 18, 1952. In the year 1982, he was highlighted on The Soldier. He later on appeared on Pure Country in the year 1992. In the year 2002, he also took part in Grand Champion as well as in King of the Hill in the year 2003. He also became part of Pure Country 2: The Gift in the year 2011.
He started to become successful in the year 1981 when his first single “Unwound” became a hit. Seven of his albums also reached number one on the country charts in the 1980s which made him a well-recognized celebrity.
George is happily married to Norma Voss, his high school sweetheart. The two of them became a married couple in the year 1971. Together they were blessed with two kids namely George Strait, Jr. and Jenifer. Jenifer, however, was killed in an automobile accident in San Marcos on June 25, 1986.
