Jenna Dewan, now known as Jenna Dewan Tatum, is an American actress and dancer. She was born on December 3, 1980 in Hartford, Connecticut to parents Nancy Smith and Darryll Dewan. She is known to be of Lebanese, Polish, English, and German descent. Before she became an actress, she used to be a backup dancer, particularly working for Janet Jackson, Celine Dion, Toni Braxton, Missy Elliott, Ricky Martin, Billy Crawford, P!nk, and the ‘N Sync band. In 2002, she appeared on screen for the first time when she was cast on the film The Hot Chick. She then made guest appearances on TV series Quintuplets and The Young and the Restless in 2004. In 2006, she became popular when she starred on the film Step Up alongside Channing Tatum. She also became more remarkable when she was highlighted on the TV series American Horror Story: Asylum from 2012 to 2013. Presently, she stars as Freya Beauchamp on the TV series Witches of East End.
