American actress, singer, songwriter, dancer, fashion designer, and producer Jennifer Lynn Lopez was born on July 24, 1969 in The Bronx, New York City. Known to be Puerto Rican, she is the daughter of Puerto Rican parents Guadalupe Rodriguez and David Lopez. It was in 1991 when she was hired to work as a backup dancer for the American band New Kids on the Block. After two years of working with the said band, she again worked as a backup dancer for singer Janet Jackson. In 1993, she got her first acting job on screen when she was cast on the direct-to-video flick Lost in the Wild. From then on, she got lots of acting appearances as well as recording projects, making her one of the most successful celebrities in Hollywood.
