American actress and producer Julia Fiona Roberts was born on October 28, 1967 in Smyrna, Georgia. The daughter of Betty Lou and Walter Grady Roberts, she is known to have Scottish, Irish, English, Swedish, and German ancestry. Her career in acting started in 1988 when she appeared on the comedy-drama flick Satisfaction where she was able to work with actors Justine Bateman and Liam Neeson. Soon after, she earned lots of acting projects including on films Pretty Woman, Sleeping with the Enemy, and many others. It was in 2000 when she became even more prominent because of her main role on the film Erin Brockovich. She had series of acting roles afterwards, and just this year, she appears on the film The Normal Heart, playing the role Dr. Emma Brookner.
