American actress Julie M. Benz was born on May 1, 1972 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The daughter of Joanne Marie and George Benz, Jr., she was noted to be an ice skater when she was younger, particularly starting the sport when she was three years old. It was in 1990 when she started to appear on screen and earned her first big screen exposure by playing the role Betty on the film Two Evil Eyes. From 1991 to 1992, her career even progressed as she was cast on the TV series Hi Honey, I’m Home!, playing the role Babs Nielson. Presently, she stars on the TV series Defiance and portrays the role Mayor Amanda Rosewater.
