A product of George Washington University, she was first seen on screen portraying a role in the year 1980 when she was cast on the motion picture National Lampoon’s Animal House.
The same year, she was featured on the movie Lovey: A Circle of Children, Part II, playing the role Elizabeth. In the year 1980, she also played part on A Small Circle of Friends and acted the role Jessica Bloom. She then starred on the 1981 flick Raiders of the Lost Ark, playing the role Marion Ravenwood. In the year 1978, she was highlighted on The Glass Menagerie wherein she played the role Laura Wingfield.
