Michael Anthony Peña is an American actor and musician. He was born on January 13, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He was first seen on screen as an actor in the year 1996 when he was cast on the flick My Fellow Americans for the role Ernesto. The same year, he was also featured on the TV series Pacific Blue in one of its episodes. His career breakthrough came in the year 1999 when he was cast for the TV series Felicity, acting the role Brian Burke in five episodes.
In 2004, he played the role Daniel on the film Crash and earned the ALMA Award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture. The said film also earned him a nomination for Gotham Award for Best Ensemble Cast. He also became part of the film American Hustle in the year 2013, eventually winning the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Acting Ensemble, Central Ohio Film Critics Association Award for Best Ensemble, and two other awards.
