Nikki Reed, originally Nicole Houston Reed, is an American actress born on May 17, 1988 in West Los Angeles, California. The daughter of Cheryl Houston and Seth Reed, she started her acting career right when she met her mother’s friend Catherine Hardwicke who is a director. Catherine then invited her to work on a script with her.
It was in 2003 when she started to appear on screen, particularly playing the role Evie Zamora on the drama film Thirteen which was directed by Catherine. At the same time, she also served as a screenwriter for the said flick. Soon after her successful performance on Thirteen, she was able to land various roles on films including Twilight, Familiar Strangers, Last Day of Summer, Empire State, Catch .44, and a lot more.
Nikki was noted to be dating the actor Victor Rasuk from 2004 to 2006. She also had a one-year relationship with DJ Qualls. In 2011, she met Paul McDonald, an American Idol season 10 former contestant and soon started dating him. Their relationship became serious that’s why they decided to get married which eventually happened on October 16, 2011 in Malibu. Unfortunately, their marriage did not work out due to the pressure they had with their work. They filed a divorce on May 16, 2014.
