Oona Castilla Chaplin is a Spanish-born British actress. She was born on June 4, 1986 in Madrid, Spain. The daughter of Patricio Castilla and Geraldine Chaplin, she is also the granddaughter of English film star Charlie Chaplin and the great-granddaughter of American playwright Eugene O’Neill. She started to appear on screen in the year 2007, portraying a significant role in one of the episodes of the TV series Spooks.
In the year 2008, she was highlighted on big screen for the first time, acting the role Laura Chappel on the flick Inconceivable. She later earned her career breakthrough when she was cast as Marnie Madden on the TV series The Hour. She was also featured on the popular TV series Game of Thrones from 2012 to 2013, playing the roles Talisa Maegyr and Star. She had other appearances on various TV series including Dates, Inside No. 9, The Crimson Field, and many others.
Presently, Oona is single and available. But previously, she had a relationship with British actor Alex Lanipekun. They were together while they were studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
