American actor, director, and former model Paul Wesley was born Paweł Wasilewski on July 23, 1982 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He is the son of Polish parents Tomasz and Agnieszka Wasilewski. He first came into the screen in the year 1999 when he was cast on the TV program Another World, playing the role Sean McKinnon. It followed by his first breakthrough which was on the TV series Guiding Light by which he had a significant role from 1999 to 2001. He then starred on the TV series American Dreams by which he acted as Tommy DeFelice from 2002 to 2005. From then on, he was sen on various TV series such as 8 Simple Rules, Everwood, Army Wives, and 24. Presently, he stars as Stefan Salvatore on the TV series The Vampire Diaries.
Two years after breaking up with girlfriend Marnette Patterson, Paul dated actress Torrey DeVitto. They met during their filming for the comedy horror film Killer Movie. In April 2011, they got married. But two years after, they reportedly filed a divorce which was finalized in December 2013.
He soon dated actress Phoebe Tonkin after meeting her at the Vampire Diaries set. These days, they are still happily together.
