The daughter of Christopher Eric Olstead and Rebecca Lynn Jeffries, she is famous for her albums Skylark, Renee Olstead, By Request…, Stone Country, Unleashed, and Without You. In the year 2005, she started off her acting career when she was cast on Streets of Laredo, playing the role Marci Fant.
She soon became part of the TV film Deadly Family Secrets, acting the role Emily Pick. She then earned her breakthrough when she was hired to play a significant role on the TV series Still Standing. From 2008 to 2013, she also became part of the TV series The Secret Life of the American Teenager, particularly playing the role Madison Cooperstein for more than 60 episodes.
