Samuel George Claflin, better known as Sam Claflin, is an English film and television actor. He was born on June 27, 1986 in Ipswich, United Kingdom. He started to appear on screen in the year 2010 when he was featured on the TV film The Lost Future, playing the role Kaleb. He had his career breakthrough in 2011 when he was highlighted on the flick Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides as Philip Swift. In 2013, his name also became popular in the film industry when he appeared as Finnick Odair on the popular movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
He became a married man in the year 2013 when he tied the knots with actress Laura Haddock. They started dating and officially became a couple in the year 2011. When he was interviewed in the year 2012, here’s what he expressed regarding his relationship with Laura: “She’s my female counterpart is the best way to describe her. She is my mum. She reminds me of my mum so much which I think – a guy will know, right? It’s important. Your mum knows like everything.”
