A student of Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics, she particularly got prominent from 1998 to 1999 when she was cast on the TV series LateLine by which she acted as Briana Gilliam. Soon after, she was cast on different TV series including The Cleveland Show from 2009 to 2013 and Family Guy from 2010 to 2014. She also had appearances on various films.
Sanaa was first married to actor and former fashion model Shemar Moore. They were engaged in September 1989 and got married on May 11, 1990. Their marriage, however, did not work out well as they eventually filed a divorce which was finalized in the year 1996.
