American actress Sara Gilbert was born Sara Rebecca Abeles on January 29, 1975 in Santa Monica, California. The daughter of Barbara Crane and Harold Abeles, she was six years old when she planned to become an actress. In 1992, she officially began her acting career and was seen on the film Poison Ivy wherein she was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actress. Soon after, she was seen on different films and TV series including Roseanne from 1988 to 1997. Presently, she is constantly highlighted on the talk show she created called The Talk.
Sara’s first love happened to be her Roseanne co-star Johnny Galecki. They started dating in the year 1992. While in a relationship with Johnny, she realized that she was a lesbian. After they broke up, they stayed good friends. In 1993, she also started going out with actor Tobey Maguire but they broke their relationship three years later.
She then dated Allison Adler, better known as Ali Adler in 2001. They have two kids together named Levi Hank and Sawyer. It was in the year 2010 when she came out in public as a lesbian.
