Sara Elena Ramirez is a Mexican-American singer/songwriter and actress. She was born on August 31, 1975 in Mazatlán, Mexico. She experienced her debut on Broadway when she played the character Wahzinak in Paul Simon’s The Capeman in the year 1998. In the year 1999, she was highlighted in The Gershwins’ Fascinating Rhythm wherein she won an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination for her role.
In the year 2001, she has also appeared in A Class Act and Dreamgirls. Latter on, she was seen in The Vagina Monologues, performing alongside Tovah Feldshuh and Suzanne Bertish. She also played the voice of Lammy in the video game UmJammer Lammy, a spin-off of PaRappa the Rapper, both on Sony’s PlayStation console.
