Theodore Peter James Kinnaird Taptiklis, professionally known as Theo James, was born on December 16, 1984 in Oxford, Oxfordshire to parents Jane and Philip Taptiklis. He had his debut acting project in 2010 when he was cast on A Passionate Woman playing the role Alex Crazenovski. The same year, he was cast on the film You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger where he was able to work with Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Freida Pinto, and a lot more celebrities.
Soon after, he was cast on films The Inbetweeners Movie, Underworld: Awakening, and The Domino Effect. He also took part of the TV series Downton Abbey where he played the role Kemal Pamuk.
