Tobey Maguire, originally Tobias Vincent “Tobey” Maguire, is an American actor and film producer. He was born on June 27, 1975 in Santa Monica, California to parents Wendy and Vincent Maguire. He officially started his acting career in the year 1989, portraying a significant role on the TV film Rodney Dangerfield: Opening Night at Rodney’s Place. He also appeared on The Wizard the same year.
In 1992, he was nominated for Young Artist Award for Best Young Actor in a New Television Series for his impressive performance on Great Scott!. He also earned a Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor for his performance on Pleasantville in 1998. In 2002, he became more prominent when he was cast as Peter Parker for the super hero film Spider-Man.
Presently, Tobey is happily married to jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer. They met in the year 2003 while he was working for the movie Seabiscuit at Universal Studios. In April 2006, they decided to settle down and got engaged. Months after their engagement, Jennifer delivered their baby whom they named Ruby Sweetheart Maguire.
