She is an American R&B singer-songwriter, actress, musician, pianist, and record producer who is best known for her top selling albums, Songs in A Minor, The Diary of Alicia Keys, and Unplugged. She is also famous for her singles “Fallin’”, “If I Ain’t Got You”, “A Woman’s Worth”, and “Diary”, which successfully entered the top spots in the Billboard chart. She is not only known as a good singer, but also as an individual who extends her hands in providing medicines to families in Africa that are affected with AIDS and HIV. This is basically done by a non-profit organization, Keep a Child Alive, where Alicia Keys is a co-founder. She also showcased her talents in acting as she appeared in some episodes of “Charmed”, “Saturday Night Live”, and “Sesame Street”. She played the role of June Boatwright in 2008s “The Secret Life of Bees”, where she was nominated for NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.
