American actress and singer Anna Kendrick was born on August 9, 1985 in Portland, Maine to parents Janice Cooke and William K. Kendrick. She is known to be of Irish, English, and Scottish descent. At the age of 10, she started her career and was able to go to New York to join several acting auditions. She mostly became recognized for her role as Dinah on the Broadway musical production High Society.
The said musical earned her the Theatre World Award award and nominations for Drama Desk Award and Tony Award. In 2008, she became more recognizable for her role Jessica Stanley on the popular film Twilight. Meanwhile, she became more famous for her breakthrough film Pitch Perfect in 2012 by which acted the main role Beca Mitchell.
