Actress Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24, 1982 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, to Mary and Brian Paquin. She first appeared as Flora McGrath in 1993s “The Piano”, where she received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and marked as Oscar’s second youngest winner. She is best known for playing the role of Rogue in Marvel Comics X-Men series and Sookie Stackhouse in television series “True Blood”. Both portrayals, including her performances as Amy Alden in “Fly Away Home” and Elaine Goodale in “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee”, nominated and won her several awards, including Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film – Leading Young Actress, Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series Drama, Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by the Cast of a Theatrical Motion Picture, and Scream Award for Best Horror Actress.
Anna Paquin was linked to “Buffalo Soldiers” star Joaquin Phoenix and “After Ashley” star Kieran Culkin; however, both relationships were not confirmed. In 2004, she dated Logan Marshall-Green, Trey Atwood of “The O.C”, for a year. Though he was five years older than her, his role in the television series made it easier for him to get along with Anna. In 2007, she met her lifetime partner, Stephen Moyer, in the audition for HBO’s series “True Blood”. They kept their relationship secret for two years and was only made known to the public in 2009.
