Claire Catherine Danes was born on April 12, 1979 in Manhattan, New York to parents Carla and Christopher Danes. She is an American actress famous for her portrayals on various films and TV series. At six, she started learning the art of dancing as she took dance lessons at the Dance Theater Workshop. When she turned 10, she delved into acting and particularly took acting classes at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. She had her TV exposure when she was 13, particularly appearing on the TV program Dudley. Since then, she was highlighted on different films and TV series.
