David Mark Morrissey is an English actor, director, producer and screenwriter. He was born on June 21, 1964 in Kensington, Liverpool, United Kingdom. The brother of Karen Morrissey, Tony Morrissey, and Paul Morrissey, he was nominated for Royal Television Society Programme Award Best Male Actor in the year 1997.
He earned more prominence when he later on won the Royal Television Society Programme Award Best Male Actor in 2003 for his impressive performance on the motion picture The Deal. Some of the TV films that earned him fame were The Storyteller: Greek Myths, Fanny and Elvis, Out of Control, and many others.
He is the husband of novelist Esther Freud. Before he got married to her, they were able to enjoy a long-length relationship. They started dating in the year 1993. It was in August 2006 when they tied the knots in a ceremony on Southwold Pier. Together they’re blessed with three kids namely Anna Morrissey, Albie Morrissey, and Gene Morrissey.
