She started her career on stage and made her screen debut in the year 1970. In 1977, she won the Best Supporting Actress from the National Board of Review for her impressive role portrayal on Annie Hall. She also earned the David di Donatello Awards – Best Foreign Actress for her remarkable appearance on Reds.
