Nicole Evangeline Lilly is a Canadian actress and author. She 
was born on August 3, 1979 in Fort Saskatchewan, Canada. She began to earn popularity when she was cast on the famous TV series Smallville, playing a minor role. From 2004 to 2010, she was a part of the long-running series Lost, playing the role Kate Austen. The said TV series earned her the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series and multiple nominations all throughout the years. In 2013, she became part of the epic high-grossing film The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, acting the role Tauriel. She also earned the MTV Movie Award for Best Fight because of the said movie. Nowadays, she working for the upcoming film Ant-Man.
Evangeline was married to Canadian hockey player Murray Hone. After their separation, she started seeing English actor Dominic Monaghan. Their relationship stopped in the year 2009.
