Joshua Daniel Hartnett, better known as Josh Hartnett, is an American actor and producer. He was born on July 21, 1978 in Saint Paul, Minnesota to parents Daniel Thomas Hartnett and Wendy Anne. As a child, he used to spend time doing sports activities, most especially football. He became prominent in show business in 1998. All throughout his career, he was able to portray lots of roles on various films and TV programs and was also able to earn lots of awards and nominations.
He particularly earned nominations for Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Male Newcomer and MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Male Performance for exceptionally playing the role John Tate on Halloween H20: 20 Years Later. Other films that also made him become prominent were 40 Days and 40 Nights, Lucky Number Slevin, Resurrecting the Champ, and 30 Days of Night.
