She started stage acting at the tender age of 13. In the year 1977, she earned popularity when she was cast on the TV series Three’s Company, playing the main role Janet Wood. Her success in the said TV series earned her more opportunities such as playing roles on With This Ring, Supertrain, The B.B. Beegle Show, The Nick at Nite Holiday Special, Call of the Wild, Failing Better Now, and many others.
