Katherine Elizabeth Upton, better known as Kate Upton, is an American model and actress. She was born on June 10, 1992 in St. Joseph, Michigan to parents Shelley and Jeff Upton. She started her modeling career in the year 2008 when she auditioned for the Elite Model Management’s casting call which was held in Miami. The said casting led her to sign to the said modeling agency the same day. Soon after, she transferred to IMG Models and endorsed several brands and designers. It was in 2011 when she started her career in acting and was cast on the film Tower Heist as well as in an episode of the TV series Tosh.0. In 2012, she was highlighted on the Sports Illustrated: The Making of Swimsuit 2012 as well as on Saturday Night Live. She also starred on the new film The Other Woman and played the role Amber.
Kate previously dated Ukrainian Latin Ballroom dance champion and choreographer Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Their hookup did not last long, though.
Nowadays, she is engaged to Detroit Tigers baseball player Justin Verlander whom she started dating in the year 2011.
