Kellie Dawn Pickler is an American country music artist and TV personality. She was born on June 28, 1986 in Albemarle, North Carolina. The daughter of Cynthia Morton and Clyde Raymond Pickler, Jr., she first came into prominence after she auditioned for the reality talent competition American Idol in the year 2005. Being one among Simon Cowell’s favorites, she ended as sixth place during the final rounds of the competition. Since then, her career blossomed and she was given lots of appearances on shows. She also became a recording artist and signed with 19 Recordings and BNA Records.
Kellie was first linked to Nashville Predators player Jordin Tootoo but their relationship was only brief in 2007. She later on had a romantic involvement with singer-songwriter Kid Rock, particularly from 2008 to 2009.
Nowadays, she is happily married to country music songwriter Kyle Jacobs. They met when Kyle wrote songs for Kellie’s first album. They got engaged in 2010 and got married on January 1, 2011.
