American singer, songwriter, and actress Mariah Carey was born on March 27, 1970 in Long Island, in Huntington, New York. The daughter of Alfred Roy and Patricia, she is known to have Venezuelan, African American, an Irish descent. At the age of four, she started to attend voice lessons. It was when she turned 18 when she landed an opportunity to sign with the popular recording company called Columbia Records. She then produced her first ever album which featured some of her best songs including “I Don’t Wanna Cry” and “Vision of Love”. Soon after, she was able to produce several albums which even earned her huge amount of attention from her growing fans. Apart from singing, she was also seen doing minor roles on several films.
Mariah started dating Tommy Mottola when she was working out her song “Music Box”. When their relationship got serious, they decided to get married and finally tied the knot on June 5, 1993. Unfortunately their marriage did not work out due to Mariah’s hectic schedule and pressured career, according to a source. They eventually divorced in the year 1998.
Soon after, she got involved with several celebrities including Dere Jeter, Eminem, and other personalities. In 2008, she met actor and comedy icon Nick Cannon. She then decided to try her luck in marriage and said “yes” when Nick proposed to her. Their marriage happened on April 30, 2008 in Bahamas. On April 30, 2011, she delivered two healthy fraternal twins whom they named Monroe and Moroccan. Just this year, around August, Mariah did not again get her luck in marriage as she and Nick officially announced their separation.
