Michael Rooker is an American actor. He was born on April 6, 1955 in Jasper, Alabama, United States. It was in the year 1986 when he was seen on screen as an actor, portraying a significant role on the film Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. The said film earned him awards such as Fantasporto Award for Best Actor and Golden Space Needle Award for Best Actor. In addition, he also earned a nomination for Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead.
In the year 1987, he portrayed a significant role on Light of Day, playing the role Oogie. He was also seen on Eight Men Out in the year 1988 as Arnold “Chick” Gandil. The film The Dark Half in the year 1993 also became his key towards success in show business as well as the TV series The Walking Dead by which he acted as Merle Dixon from 2010 to 2013.
