Rachel Anne McAdams was born in London, Ontario on November 17, 1978 to parents Lance Frederick McAdams and Sandra Kay. She is known to have Welsh, Scottish, Irish, and English ancestry. At seven, she was already interested to do acting and performing as she attended both Shakespeare and Disney summer camps. When she turned 12, she took part on the Original Kids Theatre Company, London productions and was able to develop her acting skills.
She first had her acting project on screen in 2001 when she was cast on the movie Shotgun Love Dolls by which she acted as Beth Swanson. In 2002, she was once again highlighted on a film which was on My Name is Tanino. Since then, she became prominent in Hollywood, portraying roles both on television and TV series such as Mean Girls, The Notebook, Wedding Crashers, Slings and Arrows, and many others.
At 35, Rachel hasn’t found her Mr. Right yet. She has dated The Notebook co-star Ryan Gosling from 2005 to 2008 as well as actor John Lucas in 2009. She was also linked to actor Michael Sheen since they’ve worked together for the flick Midnight in Paris in 2010. In 2013, she thought the Canadian music manager Patrick Sambrook was the one she was waiting for but their relationship didn’t last either. This year, she was rumored to be dating the popular and gorgeous actor Jake Gyllenhall but it’s all just a speculation. One thing’s for sure, though. Rachel is single and very much available.
