Steven Paul who was commonly known as“Steve” Jobs was born in San Francisco, California on February 24, 1955 and died in October 5; 2011. He was an American entrepreneur, marketer, and inventor. He was the Apple Inc co-founder, chairman, and CEO. It was through Apple that he is widely known as the founder of the personal computer revolution.
He was also the Pixar Animation Studios co-founder and worked as its chief manager. In 2006 he became one of The Walt Disney Company board of directors. When Disney started Jobs was in the list of those people who saw the business potential of Xerox PARC’s mouse-driven graphical user interface, which resulted to the formation of the Apple Lisa and Macintosh after a year. He also took part in introducing Laser Writer which is among the generally accessible laser printers at the marketplace.
Jobs met his biological mother in the late 1980s. Her mother was Joanne Schieble Simpson. She revealed to him that he had a sister, who was named Mona Simpson. He first met her in 1985, and they became close friends. They kept their connection in top secrecy until 1986. It was then that Mona introduced him publicly at her first book party.
Jobs’s longtime lover Chrisann Brennan gave him his first child, Lisa Brennan-Jobs, who was born in 1978. Chrisann Brennan raised their daughter alone since Jobs denied being the father of the baby insisting he was sterile; however, he later accepted Lisa as his own daughter.
Jobs married Laurene Powell on March 18, 1991. The marriage ceremony was held at Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park. They had a son in September 1991, and then daughters Erin in August 1995 and Eve in 1998. Jobs lived at Palo Alto, California with his family.
